OX365 I.T. Services are proud to have presented the Stroke Association (Central Oxford Stroke Support Group) with 2 x iPads which will be used by stroke survivors to help them adjust to the challenges they face during recovery and rehabilitation. We also offered to raise awareness of the Stroke Association through social media, and discussed other ways the charity could raise awareness of the important work they do.
The Stroke Association provide specialist support, fund critical research, and campaign to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives.
Rebuilding lives after stroke is a team effort. It takes the determination of stroke survivors and carers, the generosity of supporters and the dedication of the healthcare and research communities to get there.
Among the many effects suffered by stroke survivors, they can often lose the ability to speak and suffer physical and balance  difficulties because of damage to parts of the brain which send signals to the muscles.
By having an iPad a stroke survivor can communicate more easily just by using a single finger. The ability to communicate is one of the key aspects to making a successful recovery.
